CONTACT LENSES
Contact lenses provide seamless vision correction. They are available in several different modalities including daily disposable, biweeklies and monthlies.
At Clearview Eyecare, we strive to make your introduction to the world of contact lenses as easy as possible. Contact lenses are a medical device and need to be treated as such, so our office has implemented a thorough fitting process to ensure the best possible vision and comfort, based on your needs.
Your journey will begin with our skilled Optometrists, who will discuss and decide the best contact lens for you based on your measurements, lifestyle habits, and the vision challenges you hope to correct. From there, the office manager will order the contact lenses suggested by your Optometrist, and a separate appointment will be booked to teach you how to properly handle and care for your new contact lenses. Our office manager, Rachel, will spend 45 minutes to 1 hour, teaching you how to insert, remove, and, if necessary, clean your lenses. Once they have been inserted into your eyes, the Optometrist will check the fit and vision with the contact lenses in.
Sometimes, the type of lens or the prescription needs to be adjusted, and your doctor will determine that either at the initial fitting, or during a follow up appointment, if necessary. Don’t worry, if the first set of lenses we give you don’t seem right, we can make the adjustments to find what works best for you! You will leave your successful fit and teach appointment with trials, so you can try them at home before ordering your supply. Once you are satisfied, our office can order contact lenses directly from the supplier, and you’ll be on your way to glasses-free vision correction!
